Junior Judo and Senior Judo kyu grade Tournament.

Dear Friends
The YJC are organising a small tournament at SMAC a small venue for an
Intimate small competition. It will be for juniors and seniors, Male and
Female. Senior will have have 2 groups kyu grades and Dan grades.
JUDO
Judo will be for juniors. (5 years up to 15 years old)
The cost is £10 per person. All junior players will be matched according to weight on the day within a 5 kg difference.
Under 8s will book in at 9.30am
The divisions are Boys & Girls 8,9,10 – Boys & Girls 11 to 15. All Book in at 10.30an
Adult Judo
Young Person 16, 17 and 18 and Master over 35 will be matched on the day.
Adult Judo will have the following weight group’s u68 u74 u82 u90 and o90 book in at 12pm
As you can see there are different times for age groups to book in. This
way one group will be finished before the other groups start and this
will stop overcrowding in the dojo.
For this to be a success we will need to have your entry with money by

Summer camp for Judo and Sambo.
SUMMER DAY COURSE
SAT 5TH AUGUST 2017
THIS YEAR, SUMMER COURSE WILL BE RUN OVER ONE WHOLE DAY WITH GRADINGS AND EXAMS IN THE EVENING FOR THOSE THAT NEED THEM
THE COURSE WIL BE DIVIDED INTO 3 GROUPS.
GROUP 1
JUDO. THE COURSE WILL COVER ALL CRITERIA THAT IS REQUIRED FOR BOTH KYU
AND DAN GRADINGS, EXCEPT KATA, AS IT IS EXPECTED THAT YOU WOULD HAVE
ALREADY SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED A KATA COURSE. JUDOKA MUST BRING THEIR OWN
YUKI FOR THE GRADING.
GROUP 2
SAMBO. THE COURSE WILL COVER ALL CRITERIA THAT IS REQUIRED FOR GRADINGS, SAMBOISTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN PARTNER FOR THE GRADING.
GROUP 3
INSTRUCTOR AWARDS FOR SAMBO AND JUDO. THIS WILL COVER LEVEL 1, 2 AND 3
AND WILL COVER ALL CRITERIA REQUIRED TO PASS THESE AWARDS. THERE WILL BE
A PAPER BASED EXAM AT THE END. THE SAMBO INSTRUCTOR AWARD IS THE
OFFICIAL COACHING AWARD OF THE GOVERNING BODY, THE B.S.F.
THE COURSE WILL BE RUN BY JOHN CLARKE 6TH DAN JUDOO AND MASTER OF SAMBO AND COLIN CARROTT 5TH DAN JUDO AND MASTER OF SAMBO.
START TIME - 9.30AM TO 5.30PM WITH GRADINGS AND EXAMS AT 6PM
PRICE IS £50 FOR THE COURSE AND £20 FOR INSTRUCTOR AWARDS AND ALL KYU GRADES. IST DAN IS £30, 2ND £40, 3RD £50, & 4th £60.
FIGHT NIGHT WILL BE AT 7.30PM ON THE 4TH AUGUST AND IS FREE OF CHARGE TO
THOSE ON THE COURSE, OR £5 FOR MEMBERS AND VISITORS ON THE NIGHT.
ACCOMONDATION IS AVAILABLE IN THE DOJO OR THERE ARE LOCAL HOTELS NEAR BY.
